Novo Nordisk Foundation grant for Urs Jenal
Prof. Urs Jenal, Deputy Director of NCCR AntiResist, has been awarded a Novo Nordisk Foundation Infectious Diseases – Catalyst Grant 2025 for the “Rational development of anti-biofilm drugs for bacterial pathogens” project.
Novo Nordisk support a wide range of projects and initiatives that help to promote human health and the sustainability of society and the planet, within their three focus areas of health, sustainability, and life science. They search for global solutions for current and future infectious disease threats, as well as the growing problem of antimicrobial resistance.
The grant is a recognition of the crucial research being done by NCCR AntiResist members and others in the field of antimicrobial resistance, and of the importance of progressing this particular project.
The grant is shared with the Tim Tolker-Nielsen Lab at the University of Copenhagen.
