NCCR AntiResist meets Innovate UK

Innovate UK, as part of their Global Business Innovation Programme’s visit to Switzerland, came to NCCR AntiResist on Monday 4 March. The visit was an opportunity for start-ups from the UK to learn more about AntiResist and network with our scientists.

The UK delegation consisted of representatives from Innovate UK, Innovate UK Edge, AMR Insights, and the Science and Innovation Network at the British Embassy in Berne, as well as fourteen UK start-up companies working in the AMR sphere.

Following presentations from NCCR AntiResist directors, Prof. Christoph Dehio, Prof. Urs Jenal, Prof. Dirk Bumann, and Prof. Dr. med. Nina Khanna, the UK delegation’s Phil Packer gave a brief presentation before the visitors introduced themselves and their new technologies. The UK delegation and NCCR AntiResist scientists then had an opportunity to take part in partnering activities.

This UK/Swiss initiative is a very positive step towards opening up the possibilities for collaboration, and it was a great pleasure to welcome the UK delegation to our home base at the Biozentrum in Basel.
